Sweden's Pain is an industrial metal band. The band started out as a hobby project for front man Peter Tagtgren, whose idea was to fuse metal with techno influences. Tagtgren, who is also the lead singer of Hypocrisy and producer of his own The Abyss studios, is the only current member. Pain's self titled debut was released in 1996, and since then Pain has released three more albums, and a DVD. In early February of 2006, blabbermouth.net reported that Pain had signed with Roadrunner Records. Pain released their fifth studio album, "Psalms of Extinction" in the year 2007.

Redemption - Discography

Суббота, Ноябрь 24th, 2007

REDEMPTION is an American progressive metal band comprising former members of FATES WARNING and PRYMARY. Early incarnations of the group featured members of SYMPHONY X and STEEL PROPHET. Led by guitarist Nick van Dyk, the band originally featured Rick Mythiasin on vocals, Bernie Versailles on guitar, and Jason Rullo on drums, with Michael Romero providing symphonic arrangements. Mythiasin left in 2003, and Corey Brown of MAGNITUDE 9 stepped in and performed live with the band, but Ray Alder of FATES WARNING, who had sung on one track on Redemption's self-titled debut, agreed to join as REDEMPTION'S full-time vocalist, beginning with 2005's "The Fullness of Time". Although highly original, fans of FATES WARNING, ARK, ANDROMEDA & DREAM THEATER will enjoy what they hear.

In the Woods… - Discography

Четверг, Ноябрь 22nd, 2007

In The Woods... were a dark, ambiental Avant garde metal band from Kristiansand, Norway. They started out as a Death Metal (progressive-doom metal after reformation, post-In The Woods…) band called Green Carnation, but with the departure of main composer/guitarist Tchort to the band Emperor, they started the project called In the Woods... releasing a demo in 1993, "The Isle of Men", and a full-length album, "Heart of the Ages", in 1995. This album being unique to the time since the band expanded the limits of their black metal style into the soothing of keyboards and female vocals combined with eerie distroted vocals and clean singing as well. The following Omnio is often regarded as their best album, featuring even more experimental music, 11 minute songs with more female vocals and reflexive lyrics, together with magical instrumental overtures. The third album "Strange in Stereo" brought an enigmatic change in style, since music got far more depressive and changing.

Tool - Discography

Воскресенье, Ноябрь 18th, 2007

Tool is a progressive rock band from Los Angeles, California. Tool is most noted for combining hard rock with progressive structures, strange time signatures and lyrics that range from anger to philosophical and social matters. They formed around 1990.
Emerging with a heavy metal sound on their first release, when the genre was dominated by thrash metal, they were later seen at the top of the alternative metal movement with the release of their second full-length studio album ?nima in 1996. After an ongoing evolution of their sound and continuous efforts to unify musical experimentation, visual arts, and a message of personal evolution on Lateralus (2001), their most recent album 10,000 Days (2006), as well as respective tours, they are generally described as a style-transgressing act and part of progressive and art rock.
Their aspirational work features exceptionally long or complex releases, controversial lyrics and cover art, and unorthodox music videos, which results in a rather ambivalent relationship between the band and today's music industry, at times marked by censorship, and the band's ongoing struggle for privacy.
