Aeon Spoke – Discography 
Being the only musicians at their neighborhood elementary school, Sean Reinert and Paul Masvidal first met in Miami, when they were 12 years old, and immediately started writing songs and rehearsing together in what would become an obsessive aural journey from classical to pop to metal to Jazz and back within a ten-year period. By their late teens they were playing everything from Mahavishnu Orchestra to Miles Davis, and learning the songs of the Real/Fake book. Proficiency and perseverance saw their band, the progressive-rock/metal outfit Cynic, propelled to indie bestseller status. After the excitement of world tours and international kudos, the band quietly dissolved. Shortly after, Paul and Sean relocated to Los Angeles and formed Aeon Spoke with Evo.

Aeon Spoke has 2 members from the cult fusion-death-metal band Cynic, but their music isn’t anything like Cynic was. This is mellow, almost acoustic, beautiful alt-rock, especially songs like “Emmanuel” and “Yellow man”.

как easy listening может сочетаться со стилем прогрессив?
в принципе может, у них – вряд ли.
пару недель назад они даже были на МА с вывеской прогерссив что-то рок-метал, сейчас убрали.. одумались…
а 2007 года альбома на диске или в приличном качестве ни у кого нет? в сети нигде не нашёл
На что похоже-то?
Я бы сказал, что похоже на поздний Мариллион, типа This Strange Engine… Может быть, что-то вроде симбиоза позднего арт-рока английского формата с трип-роком.

Для интереса, надо послушать, ну только стиль как-то мне не понятен.
Клевый мелодичный замес из позднего Pink Floyd, раннего Porcupine Tree, акустического Radiohead и депрессивного Muse.
В принципе ничего нового команда не открывает, но слушается отлично.
Не всем ж Америку открывать, да велосипеды придумывать… поэтому 5 баллов. Лично мне такая музыка нравится
PS: да, и еще гитарное соло в композиции “Nothing” понравилось, вроде бы просто, но эммоционально.
поздняя “анафема” рядом не вспоминается часом?.. а то иначе – мимо.

Вот спасибо! Музыка очень порадовала: спокойная, мелодичная, даже романтичная и немного грустная… (хотя местами звучит чуть попсово)
А в целом очень и очень хорошо! Как раз такое пойдет в любое время суток и под любое настроение… Собственно от Рейнерта и Масвидала другого и трудно было ожидать…
Два разных альбома содержат по семь одинаковых песен ?

Копия Blackfield, только Blackfield намного лучше, имхо.
